Regional Area Västfastigheter Construction and Management

The Regional Area Västfastigheter Construction and Management provides premises for the Västra Götaland Region's operations and represents the property owner for the Västra Götaland Region's real estate portfolio, and is responsible for property development and construction projects.

The regional area works strategically and takes into account the tenants' wishes, the needs of the properties, and the goals and intentions of the Västra Götaland Region.

The assignment also includes procurement for property-related assignments, parking issues within the Västra Götaland Region, art in property projects, the Västra Götaland Region's art collection, and physical accessibility.

What does the assignment include?

You will work on updating and developing our so-called House Book for the properties within the hospital real estate area SU. The House Book is an overview documentation with information about all buildings belonging to our hospital properties. It contains information about the buildings' origins, construction methods, and details about all major renovations carried out over the years. Your task will be to update the House Book with current information from recent years. You will do this by communicating with our technical managers and project leaders to gather information about completed projects and technical reinvestments from the past few years that are not documented in the House Book. A significant part of the work will also involve information searching in our project management systems. Through this work, you will gain insight and understanding of how we work with maintenance planning within Västfastigheter.

The work will start with the House Book for Mölndal Hospital and Högsbo Hospital. If time allows, the work may continue on more hospital properties within SU.

The position is aimed at those who have not previously been student assistants within VGR and have studies as their main occupation during the spring semester of 2026.

The assignment averages 15 hours per week. The location is in Gothenburg/Mölndal, but some work may potentially be done remotely.

Your Knowledge and Background

We are looking for someone studying civil engineering or another relevant field at the university or college level. We prefer that you have at least reached halfway through your studies. To succeed in this assignment, you need to be structured, self-driven, and responsible. It is important that you are comfortable driving and executing the assignment independently, although you will of course have a supervisor as a sounding board. Furthermore, we expect you to have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
