Your Responsibilities

• Monitoring & Observability: Implement and manage monitoring and alerting tools that identify and prevent potential issues. Analyze system data and logs to detect trends and areas for improvement.
• Incident Management: Act quickly during incidents affecting the platform, collaborating with development and operations to minimize downtime and ensure rapid recovery.
• Automation: Automate infrastructure, configuration, and deployment processes to increase efficiency and reduce the risk of errors.
• Capacity Planning: Analyze resource utilization and forecast future needs to ensure the platform can grow in line with business demands.
• Security: Implement and maintain best practices in platform security, including access controls, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives that enhance the platform's reliability, performance, and security through optimized processes, tools, and automation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, operations, and other technical teams to ensure smooth and stable platform operations.
   

Your Profile

• Strong understanding of cloud concepts and technologies, including virtualization, containerization, and orchestration.
• Experience with private cloud platforms (e.g., Nutanix, VMware vSphere) and associated tools.
• Good knowledge of scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) as well as infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with monitoring and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios).
• Sharp troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices.
• Contributions to open source projects.
