Support Technician at Ö-borgen

As a support technician with us, you ensure that everyday operations run smoothly – whether it’s setting up a new computer, getting the conference room to work, or helping someone get started with their tools. The role is broad and varied, and you will work with everything from networks and servers to clients and Office365.

Ö-borgen is a family-owned group with several companies in the marine sector in Sweden. Our IT department supports all our companies and ensures that our technical solutions work smoothly. We are growing and developing, and we are looking for someone who wants to join us on this journey and contribute to creating and improving routines and workflows that make everyday life easier for everyone in the group.

Responsibilities

You will ensure that colleagues receive quick and effective help when technology fails – both on-site and remotely. You will be responsible for:

• Configuring servers, switches, and firewalls
• Administering Office365
• Installing computers, workstations, and conference rooms
• Managing clients for both PC and mobile devices

Our Offer

You will be the fourth person in a small team of three, and together you will be responsible for ensuring that the business always has a stable and functioning IT environment. There is room to take your own initiatives, test new solutions, and deepen your knowledge in the areas that interest you the most.

We are looking for someone with a relevant IT education or experience in a similar role, preferably combined with experience working with people, for example in service or support.

To thrive and succeed in this role, it is important that you can take the initiative when problems arise and are solution-oriented – everyday IT challenges often require quick handling and practical solutions. You need to be able to explain technical matters in a way that suits the person you are talking to, regardless of their knowledge level. It is also important to collaborate with the team to ensure a stable and functioning IT environment together.

You communicate fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and can read manuals in English. Travel to our various companies about ten times a year is included in the position, which means a B driver's license is required.

Two of our largest clients are the Swedish Armed Forces and FMV, which means that the person selected for the position will undergo a security clearance.
