About the Job
Skållegården is aimed at children and adolescents aged 12-16 years. The target group includes girls and boys who may find themselves in inappropriate environments and who exhibit norm-breaking behavior, often in combination with an NPF diagnosis, which can manifest as low impulse control, challenging behaviors, isolation, lack of social skills, relationship issues, or high school absenteeism.
Skållegården is located in a quiet rural area with a large garden for outdoor play. The operation is structured so that each child and adolescent has their own individually tailored schedule. We strive to be an organization that provides that little extra, is present with great care, and creates predictability and security in the children's/young people's daily lives.
The goal of the treatment at Skållegården is to create conditions for positive development in mental and physical well-being. The aim of the operation is to create a balanced overall situation for the child/young person that includes aspects of life such as school, leisure, and social relationships.
Methods and Approaches in the Operation:
The operation is based on CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and clarifying pedagogy.
Other methods and approaches in the operation include: MI (Motivational Interviewing and Motivational Conversations for Change), Crisis and Trauma Response, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), LAB (Low-Arousal Approach).
