Welfare Technician to the Social Administration

The Social Administration is one of Vaggeryd Municipality's largest administrations with approximately 500 employees. To support the various operations, there is a staff consisting of two units: the Quality and Development Unit and the Administration and Service Unit.

The common mission of the Quality and Development Unit is to support the operations in meeting the requirements and goals set by laws and other regulations. The unit is also tasked with working on digitalization and welfare technology, managing the operations' systems, and leading digitalization projects as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

As the social administration digitalizes and introduces new welfare technology, the need for support and maintenance increases. Therefore, we are looking for a new employee to manage and maintain the existing and future welfare technology.

Your responsibilities include:

• Streamlining the management of technical equipment and welfare technology to support the operations.
• Being first-line support close to the operations.
• Performing maintenance, such as changing batteries, troubleshooting, and solving problems.
• Contacting suppliers.
• Managing and installing new technology.
• Providing support and managing mobile phones in collaboration with the municipality's IT unit and other key functions in the administration.

Since this position is new, you will work with your colleagues and manager to develop the content of the role and collaborate with the municipality's IT unit.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and can plan and execute their work independently. You have good collaboration skills and are flexible. Workdays can vary, and different situations can arise quickly, requiring you to be able to reorganize your work at short notice. It is important that you have a strong interest in technology and systems, as well as experience in handling technical equipment. You should also have good problem-solving skills.

You have a relevant high school education, e.g., a technology program, and knowledge of and interest in technology/welfare technology and systems. Experience in similar work is an advantage, as well as experience in care and welfare. A B driver's license is required for the position.
