By training emergency services personnel in all positions, we ensure the competence supply for municipal emergency services. We are currently broadening our mission with training to build civil defense. We are looking for more people who want to contribute to training personnel for municipal emergency services. Your responsibilities and tasks

Teachers at MSB work together with colleagues within and between our training locations, experts, and external actors. Teachers at MSB are expected to have a good ability to work independently and enjoy collaborating with others, as well as being confident in the teaching role. Teaching takes place in classrooms, on training fields, and in digital classrooms.

As a teacher with us, you will teach in the areas of accident prevention, crisis preparedness, and civil defense. Your tasks include preparing, conducting, and following up on training. Your responsibilities include being course responsible, supervisor, and examiner. You may also have the opportunity to participate in various development projects.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary education in social sciences with a focus on risk, crisis, and security work, or equivalent work experience deemed relevant by the employer.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
• Good IT skills.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Pedagogical education and experience.
• Experience from municipal operations, preferably with knowledge of municipal safety work.
• Experience from emergency services.
• Education/experience in risk management, crisis preparedness, continuity management, and systematic safety work, e.g., occupational health and safety.

About the employment

We offer you a permanent full-time position that begins with a six-month probationary period.

Your place of employment will be Sandö, and travel may occur as part of the job.

About us

The Basic Education Unit 2 is currently tasked with preparing, resource planning, conducting, following up, and developing the two-year education in accident prevention (SMO), other training, and course activities within the competence area according to applicable governing documents.
