Hagaskolan is a K-9 school that offers a safe school experience with high expectations, good relationships, and a positive approach. Hagaskolan has about 580 students and is beautifully located in a quiet residential area in the northern part of Sundsvall. Hagaskolan has a strong community and an engaged staff. We work to create a safe and stimulating learning environment where all students have the opportunity to develop both academically and socially. To strengthen our team, we are now looking for a student coach for our middle school, who will also be responsible for substitute staffing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a student coach and substitute staffing coordinator, you will have a varied role with both student-facing and administrative tasks. Your main areas of responsibility will be student coaching and substitute staffing.

Student Coaching:

• Work to create good relationships with students and contribute to their personal and social development.
• Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.
• Hold conversations and coaching meetings with students to strengthen their self-confidence and motivation.

Substitute Staffing:

• Be responsible for finding and booking substitutes as needed.
• Act as a link between the school's management, administrator, and substitutes to ensure that teaching maintains high quality during the absence of regular staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has relevant experience in pedagogy, social work, or equivalent.
• Has experience working with students, preferably at the middle school level, and is accustomed to supporting youth in their development.
• Is organized and has good administrative skills, as substitute staffing requires structure and precision.
• Is communicative and finds it easy to collaborate with both students and colleagues.
• Has the ability to be flexible and manage a varying workload.

Meritorious:

• Experience working with students with special needs or within student health.
• Experience in substitute staffing or personnel administration.
• Experience leading or mentoring students in groups or individually.
