At the Music School, we organize music subjects in ensembles that meet with us educators several times a week. We call the model 'Mitt i Musiken', named after our geographical location and based on the idea that from the first note, one is in a musical and social context. The teachers, who are specialists in their instruments, work in teams and collaboratively develop the repertoire and methodology for the groups.

All instrument groups, including singing, are included in the ensembles. We are looking for a substitute for a parental leave educator for the subjects of guitar and bass. As the Music School, the municipality, and the region are in an exciting phase of development, we are also seeking permanent positions in woodwinds and percussion, see separate advertisement.

The substitute position is 40-100% depending on preferences and the applicant's combined competencies. Job Responsibilities

Leading ensembles, instrumental teaching, and arranging for ensembles in various genres and at different levels. You are responsible for your subject and develop the teaching model together with others in the team. You will be involved in planning and executing productions, concerts, and projects.

Additional Information

Full-time/part-time position, substitute from 2025-02-01 to 2025-04-01. The application deadline is 2025-01-29.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with relevant pedagogical higher education or other training/experience that can be deemed equivalent. Experience in leading ensembles and knowledge of ensemble methodology is an advantage.

A B driver's license is required. (We use the municipality's car pool for most of the trips)

You are attentive in your interactions with children and young people and have a personal interest in students' development. You are independent and flexible in your work with good collaboration skills. You dare to take on challenges and try new things.
