JOB DESCRIPTION

As a kitchen manager with us, you will be a central part of the Food Unit's management, with the opportunity to develop and plan operations in close collaboration with an engaged team. Your work will be based on current menus, recommendations, and political decisions, which means you will have a broad and varied role where cooking is combined with management tasks in a large kitchen environment.

You will have personnel and operational responsibility within the economic framework, which means analyzing results and ensuring that each kitchen adheres to the budget. You will also be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of working environment and food hygiene. The area includes three production kitchens and three reception kitchens in Karlholm, Skärplinge, and the picturesque Hållnäshalvön, with a team of about 15 employees.

Your role is operational, which means that as a manager, you work closely with your employees. Your days will vary between time in the kitchen, administrative tasks, and visits to other units. Planning and structuring are crucial for successfully leading and developing the operations.

You will be part of the Food Unit's management team along with other kitchen managers and the production manager, reporting directly to the head of food services. The role gives you a unique opportunity to shape and develop your area of responsibility.

The position is a permanent employment at 100% with a start date according to agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role of kitchen manager, we see that you have a chef's education or equivalent relevant experience from the profession, preferably with previous work in large kitchens or similar production. You are a natural leader with the ability to motivate and inspire your employees, and experience in handling personnel matters is something you feel comfortable with. If you also have leadership training, we consider it an advantage.

You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working together with both internal and external actors at various levels. To ensure that operations are conducted efficiently, you follow instructions, procedures, and legal requirements, while working purposefully and adhering to set timelines.

Furthermore, you are independent and take initiative regarding issues related to self-control and working environment. Since we handle special diets in the operations, it is a requirement that you speak and read Swedish fluently. You also have a B driver's license and basic IT skills and are comfortable working in the Office suite.

Experience in successfully leading multiple physical workplaces with good results is something we see as a significant plus.
