We are looking for a self-driven senior backend developer with strong DevOps skills for a long-term consulting assignment with a public actor in travel planning and booking. You will step in as a key person alongside a senior colleague and strengthen a cross-functional, agile team that builds the next generation of digital travel experiences for several public websites.

Your Responsibilities

Develop and enhance microservices in .NET/.NET Core. Design, implementation, and optimization of scalable backend services and APIs.

Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines and Azure environments for stable operations and fast releases. Work with container technology (Docker/Kubernetes) and observability. Ensure code quality through testing (unit tests/integration tests), code reviews, and automation. Collaborate closely with product owners, UX/Frontend, and architects in an agile working manner.

    Qualifications (must-have)

    5+ years of documented experience in backend development. 3+ years of development in .NET or .NET Core (last 5 years). 3+ years with microservices (role, assignment, and time frame must be verifiable). 3+ years (last 7 years) in automated build and deployment environments (CI/CD). 2+ years of development and deployment on Microsoft Azure (last 4 years). 4+ years (last 7 years) with container technology (e.g., Docker/Kubernetes). 2+ years of working with unit tests as a natural part of development. 2+ years in cross-functional teams with product responsibility and delivery tracking against internal/external customers. 2+ years of agile working methods (Scrum/Kanban) in the last 5 years. 2+ years of development/deployment of solutions with messaging services (pub/sub), e.g., MQTT, RabbitMQ, Kafka, SignalR, etc. 1+ year with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or similar).

      Desirable Experience

      Improvement of performance, robustness, security in code, and streamlining of integration flows (APIs, message brokers, ETL) in the last 3 years. Integration with EFA JourneyPlanner or equivalent travel planning system (6 months). Code review as a recurring working method (3 years). Automated integration tests beyond unit tests (2 years).

        Location

        Hybrid, Stockholm (central). The team has at least one fixed office day/week; other presence as needed and agreed upon. Working hours: Weekdays 08:00–17:00. Available for the team 09:00–15:00. Equipment: The client provides a computer and workspace. Personal mobile phone required.

          Timeline and Scope

          Start: 2026-01-08 (or by agreement) End: 2027-01-01 Scope: 40 hours/week (option for extension up to full-time).
