The Youth Department/Culture and Leisure Administration has the mission of Sundsvall Municipality to work with youth culture and leisure activities. We are responsible for the municipality's youth centers. All youth centers in Sundsvall Municipality are HBTQI-certified. The department also includes operations that work across the municipality, such as democratic coordinators, safety coordinators, and field assistants.

The mobile team is a new initiative being launched within the Youth Department, Sundsvall Municipality. This is to meet new leisure needs among our children and youth groups. Here, flexibility and adaptability are crucial to quickly meet the changing needs of the target group. The team will consist of an operational team leader and two leisure leaders.

As a leisure leader, you play a crucial role in shaping the future society by investing in youth and strengthening citizenship from the ground up. By providing a platform for creativity, learning, and participation, you inspire young people to develop their full potential and become active participants in society. You become a mentor, coach, and role model, giving young people the tools to navigate through life with confidence and respect for others. This work is not just about organizing activities; it is about creating safe spaces where young people can grow and feel included.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities include planning and implementing meaningful, developmental, and fun leisure activities together with the team and children and youth in places where the target group is located. If necessary, the team will reinforce our existing youth centers and participate in the department's regular activities as needed. In your role, it is essential to understand and take clear employee responsibility, with a holistic view of our entire operation in the Youth Department. Evening shifts 3-4 evenings a week, including weekends. The position also involves administrative tasks such as documentation and communication. The team will be based at Ljustadalens youth center and work throughout Sundsvall Municipality.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a leisure leader education or equivalent training. You have documented experience in youth work or a strong commitment through interests or hobbies. You have a genuine interest in working with youth and creating meaningful activities that contribute to their development and well-being. Leadership experience and the ability to independently and responsibly lead an operation through all its phases, such as planning, implementing, delivering, and evaluating.

You have enthusiasm and passion for youth work. You have the ability to pedagogically convey information and create a learning environment for the youth and your colleagues.

• Social and relationship-building: You thrive in collaborations and easily create and maintain good relationships. You are a natural initiator in conversations and activities, motivating others to participate and engage.
• Structured and flexible: You organize and prioritize your time effectively and can handle multiple varying tasks simultaneously.

• Independent and results-oriented: You have the ability to take your own initiatives, set goals, and drive projects forward to achieve results.

The Youth Department has a mandatory drug test upon hiring.
