So who am I?
I am a friendly and positive young man, soon 37 years old, with autism and an intellectual disability. I live independently. My interests include making daily trips with my car, going for walks, swimming, playing keyboard, watching YouTube, and listening to Spotify - rap and hip hop music.

As a personal assistant, you need to be fundamentally secure, clear, cheerful, and calm. I need your help with communication with other people. Routines, structure, and visual support are important to me.

The job as a personal assistant with me primarily means that you and I enjoy being together and can create a good relationship. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge and experience that can be useful in our daily interactions. I have seen in my assistants that curiosity to learn more and constantly develop in the assistant work has also led to an increased quality of life for me, which I value highly.

With me, my assistants work with a low-arousal approach both towards me and within the work team. This is a prerequisite for me to feel comfortable and well. Likewise, there is a working method that involves creating joy and well-being for me every day, which I really appreciate. In addition, my team works with assistants to constantly further educate themselves and find working methods that enrich my life. Something that is also extremely important to me is to be involved and decide in most daily decisions regarding me. This helps strengthen my self-esteem and independence.

• Enjoy an assistance job of a pedagogical and planning nature
• Enjoy further education/development in the low-arousal approach and other working methods used with the client together with colleagues

Job responsibilities:

• Support the client in communication
• Participate in activities within the home, e.g., conversations, IT/YouTube, music
• Participate in activities outside the home, e.g., daily walks and outings
• Support the client in daily activities
• Assist the client with cooking/baking
• Keep the home environment clean and pleasant, care for the client's belongings, and handle outdoor tasks at the house, including some snow shoveling and lawn mowing
• Prevent and manage frustrations and problem-causing situations
• Create a daily meaningful and positive experience for the client
• Encourage and provide opportunities for the client's daily participation, involvement, and independence

Requirements for the position:

• Basic computer skills
• Driver's license B (manual driving) and own car, as there is limited access to public transport
• The client has their own car that can be used for work
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• A merit if you have knowledge/experience of working with people with autism
• Since the client's workplace has officially worked with a low-arousal approach as a working method towards the client and within the work team since 21 06 01, participation in this development work and other working methods used with the client is included in the employment.
• Presentation of an extract from the police record. It is an advantage if you order the record extract before a job interview.

Working hours:

Assistance is provided around the clock. You need to be able to work all hours of the day - including weekends and holidays. Double staffing at certain times during the day; otherwise, solo work in the evenings/nights. Primarily, we are looking for an assistant who is willing to work day shifts. We place great importance on your flexibility and willingness to work extra shifts when needed.
