Social Worker, Children and Family IFO

Job Responsibilities

In the role of social worker with us, you will support and assist individuals and families to create long-term positive changes. You will be part of a developing work environment where we focus on being accessible to our citizens while ensuring that social services are provided in accordance with legislation.

As a social worker within the Children and Family Unit, you will investigate and make decisions about interventions for children and families according to the Social Services Act (SoL), the Care of Young People Act (LVU), and other relevant laws. The work involves assessing the child's and family's needs for support or protection, conducting investigations, following up on approved interventions, and collaborating with external actors such as schools, healthcare, and the police.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work
  • Experience in public authority work is an advantage
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Good communication skills in both spoken and written form
  • Ability to create trusting relationships
  • Flexibility and commitment to developing social services in accordance with the new Social Services Act
  • Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability
