In Region Skåne, there are eleven physical youth clinics (UM) and UM Skåne Online. We are organized into five areas, each with its own unit manager under a common operations manager. Malmö is Skåne's largest unit with just over 30 employees.

Our youth clinics are well-functioning and pleasant workplaces with engaged employees. The staff consists of social workers, midwives, nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors. We work with young people aged 12 until the day they turn 23. Our mission is to work preventively and health-promoting within mental and sexual health.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We welcome a nursing assistant to our team at the youth clinic in Malmö for a one-year temporary position. With us, you will be offered a pleasant workplace with colleagues who care for each other.

Your role as a nursing assistant with us is important as you welcome young people in the waiting room and reception. There, you help the young people get settled, book appointments, and distribute condoms. You will also have shorter conversations with the young people regarding sexually transmitted infections (STI) and safer sex, provide brief information, and inform about other units as needed. You will perform record-keeping in PMO. The role also includes work in the blood pressure clinic, mail handling, ordering supplies, and laundry, as well as participating in outreach activities such as study visits. If necessary, you will also assist our doctor during examinations.

The work is done in collaboration with the clinic's other professional groups. Your specific competence is of great importance for the team to be able to offer our visitors good cross-professional care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant. You have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. We would also like you to have experience working in a clinic.

As a person, you are attentive, communicative, and see a pleasant approach and providing good service as a matter of course. Furthermore, you should be able to work both independently and in close collaboration with your colleagues, have a positive outlook, and a genuine desire to work preventively. The work requires great commitment and respect for young people's living conditions. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Before any employment, a check against the suspicion and criminal record register will be conducted.

OTHER

As of July 1, 2023, the title nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within healthcare and social services. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and are offered a new position, you can retain your title as a nursing assistant until June 30, 2033. At any interview/employment, you will need to present proof of the protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023. If you do not currently have a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare or are covered by the transitional provisions, it means that the title in your employment contract will be care assistant and not nursing assistant. Assistive devices are tasked with managing assistive devices prescribed to patients in Skåne. Within the administration, there are also vision, hearing, and deaf services and youth clinics in Skåne.
