About the department:
The Technical and Property Management is responsible for managing Vallentuna to be a good place for people and businesses to grow. We do this through management, preventive work, and development of the municipality's buildings, natural areas, parks, streets, roads, and other facilities. The department is organized into four divisions: The Staff, the Property Division with cleaning services, the Street and Park Division, and Transport Services.

We at the Street and Park Division are a well-knit and cheerful team of 16 people working with waste management, street and park operations, traffic operations, traffic planning, project management, parking supervision, abandoned vehicles, vehicles, planning, construction, noise, nature, stormwater, etc. The division is now expanding with an additional position. Job Responsibilities
You will primarily work with the municipality's operational contracts for street/winter maintenance, paving, road marking, and associated stormwater. Also, noise, excavation permits, insurance matters related to the tasks. Participating in planning and project work as well as management coordination is part of the job, but all types of questions and tasks may arise. The role includes financial responsibility, which involves planning, budgeting, and monitoring costs. As a Street Engineer, you will play an important role in several large parallel community building projects. You contribute with experience already during early planning stages to implementation and expansion phases. Job tasks include reviewing documents, monitoring street works and warranty maintenance, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring a good reception for operations. You will work independently, develop and improve functions, routines, and documentation in close contact with other colleagues in the Technical and Property Management and the Community Building Management. The work also involves a lot of contact with various project managers, contractors, and municipal residents.

Qualifications:

• University education in road, construction, or other education that the employer considers relevant, or equivalent work experience.
• Several years of experience in corresponding tasks within operations and maintenance.
• Several years of experience as a client representative or in managing operational contracts.
• Good knowledge of Word, Excel, accustomed to working in a digital environment, good GIS knowledge.
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
• Experience in procurement and contract follow-up.
• Experience in analyzing, following up, and documenting, e.g., error reports, contracts, budgets, etc.
• Driving license B is required.
• Knowledge of contract law is an advantage, such as AB, MER, AMA.
