For a safe and developing everyday life, focusing on care and rehabilitation
Verbena Care, a newly established care company, is now looking for dedicated and experienced treatment staff for our new HVB home in Norrtälje municipality. We offer an exciting and meaningful role in an organization where every employee contributes to creating a safe everyday life for the youth in the home.
Our vision
At Verbena Care, we build our operations based on the guiding principles:
Compassion - Responsibility - Quality - Safety.
We who started Verbena Care also run the Family Reception, which has been operating psychotherapy clinics for several years, where we offer psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults, family counseling, parental support, as well as psychiatric and neuropsychiatric care and assessment. The company is run by individuals with solid treatment backgrounds as psychologists and psychotherapists. For a long time, it has been a dream for us to run HVB.
In the autumn of 2025, Verbena Care will start an HVB home for girls in Norrtälje municipality. We have extensive expertise in the area of youth with mental health issues and have a vision to develop an HVB operation with the same heart, competence, and treatment results as our previous operations. We also want to create opportunities for youth in need of full-time placement to benefit from the expertise we have within our other organization. We are now looking for staff with extensive competence and experience in the HVB field to build this new organization.
We are looking for both full-time and part-time staff with educational backgrounds such as treatment pedagogues, social pedagogues, behavioral scientists, nurses, social workers, and special educators.
About the position(s)
As a therapist at Verbena HVB, you will have the opportunity to shape and develop the operations from the start. You will contribute to creating a caring and developing environment where the youth can thrive.
Together with your colleagues, you will be driven by the ambition to provide the youth with the very best conditions and the care they need to develop in a safe, secure, and health-promoting environment. You will work in an experienced group and have a knowledgeable organization behind you.
Independence is a prerequisite, but so is the ability to collaborate and be responsive to the needs of the youth.
The HVB home is located in Norrtälje municipality, with close commuting distance to Stockholm. At the workplace, 2-3 therapists work with co-therapy (one works overnight) together with the manager and an assistant manager/coordinator.
We are looking for a complete workgroup of 8-10 people, where we together create an ambitious and knowledgeable team that is passionate about providing the youth (girls aged 14-18) with the very best conditions to succeed in life.
We are looking for full-time and part-time employees who are flexible and can work at all hours of the day – day, evening, night – and be on-call and available as needed.
We believe that you are a safe, structured, and social person who is passionate about working with youth with psychiatric and psychosocial problems. Your commitment and ability to build relationships, where rejection and lack of trust may initially characterize the contact, are important qualities.
You need to be able to work independently and be skilled at prioritizing and planning your work based on needs. You find it easy to make contacts, build relationships, and are fearless and empathetic in your approach.
Experience with the target group, mentally and socially vulnerable youth, is an advantage.
Your tasks include:
• Contributing to working in the organization in accordance with our vision and values
• Working to ensure a safe and supportive environment for the youth
• Collaborating with social services and other authorities
• Documentation
Examples of tasks beyond treatment work may include;
planning/preparing meals, ordering food packages, maintaining cleaning routines, supporting the youth in ADL (e.g., cooking, laundry), transporting youth to school and activities, attending meetings, safety-promoting work, collaboration with social services and guardians.
Qualifications:
• Relevant university education (social worker, behavioral scientist) in social work, psychology, or similar
• Experience working with youth with severe mental health issues at risk
• Previous work experience from HVB is an advantage
• Knowledge in neuropsychiatry is an advantage
• Good knowledge of legislation and regulations for HVB operations is an advantage
• Ability to work in a structured and goal-oriented manner
• Training in DBT, MI, ACT, CBT is an advantage
• B driver's license
We offer:
• The opportunity to help shape an organization with the highest ambitions
• Knowledgeable colleagues and management
• A dynamic and inspiring work environment
• The opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of youth
• Competence development and further education
• Competitive salary and benefits
