Cisco Network Technicians Wanted

Job Responsibilities

Regardless of whether you are senior or junior, the overarching role description of your daily life as a network technician is problem solver! You will dive deep into network-related issues of various kinds and complexities. Depending on your experience and skills, you may work closely with the client on configurations or in the server room. There is also the opportunity to work more generally with distribution between these environments.

As a network technician, you will primarily work with problem-solving, but you will also be involved in troubleshooting, setup, and management within your area. Working with DNS/DHCP is part of your daily routine, while you will also work with VPN solutions, how exciting does that sound?

If you, like us, value security highly in all its forms, great! You will have the opportunity to work with firewalls, from troubleshooting, updating, and setup! Since we are looking for network technicians within Cisco, you can probably guess that you will be working with Cisco firewalls!

You need to be able to act quickly and think on your feet in critical situations, for example, when an alarm goes off indicating a network failure, because who is contacted if not you who works with NOC? Yes, you read that right! We are also looking for those of you who work as NOC technicians! Within NOC, you will respond to incoming alarms. If it’s not a network that has gone down, it may be some other network-related issue where your main task is to isolate the problem.

Working as a network technician within Cisco will be varied, depending on your experience and which of our clients you will work with.

Your Profile and Qualifications

To succeed in the role of network technician, we see that you are flexible as a person; you need to be ready to adapt to new environments. You have good communication skills and can express yourself very well in both spoken and written Swedish and English. With your tactical mindset, you have the ability to analytically optimize and plan. Furthermore, we see that you are a team player who understands the importance of good collaboration.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in Cisco networking
• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English
• Experience with DNS/DHCP
• Knowledge of VPN tunnels, VPN clients
• Experience with WAN
• Experience in configuring routers, switches, and ports
• Post-secondary education in networking or other relevant education

Meritorious

• CCNA certification
• Driver's license
