Do you want a challenging and rewarding job in a homely environment? We are now looking for a support educator for a full-time position at Skogsgläntan group home in Nygård, Lilla Edet.

About the role  As a support educator, you will work alongside your colleagues in direct support of the users. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing and applying Nytida's framework for pedagogy and contributing to the development of personalized pedagogy for the users. This is to support the users in utilizing their cognitive and social abilities, enhancing their self-esteem, and enabling a health-promoting life by acting as a role model and motivating them towards wellness. Together with other staff, you will work towards making each day meaningful and rich in content, performing care-related tasks, ensuring pleasant facilities, and participating in activities with the users. You will also guide and support staff in social documentation and implementation plans, mentor new employees, and collaborate with the unit/operations manager on development projects. You will report to the unit manager. Becoming a manager may also be a future career opportunity for you. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends.

About the unit Skogsgläntan is a children and youth home where individuals with autism, autism spectrum disorders, or intellectual disabilities reside. The home is located in a small rural community in Nygård. Here, there are close proximity to green areas, forests, a football field, and a bus station. From Nygård, it is a short drive to the swimming area at Prässebo, as well as driving or cycling distance to Lödöse. In Lödöse, there are grocery stores, schools, a train station, and a health center.

At Skogsgläntan, there is space for four placements, and we work based on an individualized approach to ensure that each resident has the best conditions for quality of life, participation, self-determination, and meaningfulness. With calm, security, and structure, we support the residents in utilizing their strengths and embracing their interests.

Your experience and knowledge You are a qualified support educator from a vocational college or have relevant university education. You have good computer skills, experience in documentation, and strong proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. Additional requirements include experience working with the LSS target group. 

As a person, you have a positive outlook and a strong commitment to people. You are responsible, meticulous, and enjoy working in a team. You are happy to share your experiences and support colleagues in pedagogy, documentation, and interaction.
