About the workplace

At the care and support administration, we work with people. Real people. People who, just like you, live life. We are about 4500 employees - from nursing assistants, support assistants, nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists to economists, investigators, and assistance officers who contribute in various ways to ensure that the city's elderly and people with disabilities can live a rich and independent life.

We operate from an office located centrally at Brigadgatan 4 and work with clients residing in Drottninghög, Ringstorp, and Fredriksdal.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant with us, you work to enable individuals to live as independently as possible. You start from the unit's premises and move between different clients by car or bike (if not within walking distance) following a work card. You perform tasks delegated by a nurse, physiotherapist, or occupational therapist, such as training interventions, medication handover, and wound dressing. We work in teams with the various professions.

Our working method is characterized by a salutogenic approach, which means providing personal support based on individual needs and conditions in the clients' homes. As a nursing assistant, you primarily work alone and provide care in the form of personal care, support during meals, social interaction, and more.

We work with a fixed care contact, and the tasks also include documentation.

In home care in Helsingborg, you work on a schedule where working hours are allocated either during the day or evening. We are currently looking for an employee where the schedule currently applies to evening hours from 14:15 to 23:15, but it may change if the needs of the operation change. Therefore, you need to be available to work during the day as well.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with a strong sense of responsibility. You are flexible and can work independently while having the ability to collaborate with your colleagues.

To succeed in the role, you need to have basic computer skills, documentation experience, be comfortable working with various digital tools, and have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You want and can cycle in your duties.

We highly value personal suitability and are looking for someone with the drive to act quickly and effectively, even in challenging situations.

If you have experience working as a nursing assistant and are familiar with Phoniro, LifeCare, Senior Alert, the BPSD register, and have worked with Stjärnmärkt, it is a significant plus.

It is also meritorious if you have special training in palliative care, cognitive impairment, or psychiatry. A B driver's license is also meritorious for the position.
