DevOps Engineer at Svenska kraftnät
Svenska kraftnät is one of the key players in the transition to sustainable energy. As a DevOps Engineer, you will have one of Sweden's most important IT jobs, contributing to Sweden's electricity supply every day. We need you to succeed in our vital mission to electrify Sweden.
Today, we are about 600 people in IT, and we will grow further in the coming years. This is to create conditions for Sweden to double its electricity production and achieve climate goals by completely transitioning to fossil-free energy. To succeed, we will use the latest technology to increase the capacity of our infrastructure while also accelerating the development pace around systems, digitalization, and processes.

About the Position
The role of DevOps Engineer involves driving, implementing, and further developing DevOps-based working methods, as well as contributing to the functionality and further development of our development platforms and tools.
The position will also include both coordinating and planned tasks and more practical and operational tasks that occur hands-on in our IT systems, such as configuration, troubleshooting, installations, and upgrades.
Examples of Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Manage incidents, problems, and perform troubleshooting.
- Drive and execute upgrades and system improvements of our development tools and Azure DevOps Server platform.
- Support new and existing projects and managements in implementing DevOps-based working methods and workspaces in the Azure DevOps Server platform as well as other development tools in the area.
- Install, configure, and otherwise prepare new environments, e.g., for upcoming needs.
- Participate in IT security work by assisting in risk and vulnerability analyses, monitoring information security, etc.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will belong to the Development Capabilities and Tools unit, which consists of about 14 people, including IT specialists, method and tool managers, IT project managers, and management leaders. The unit is responsible for developing our capabilities in application development, as well as requirements and test management with professionals in the field.

About You

Required Qualifications
We also see that you have a degree from a university/college/vocational school in computer science or similar, or equivalent competence acquired in another way.
We see that you have several years of relevant work experience in:
- working as a system developer or DevOps Engineer, supporting system development teams where version control has been included
- working with configuration, operation, and other management of Azure DevOps or other similar tools (GitLab/GitHub/Atlassian products).
- code review tools/systems.
- working with agile methods.
- You speak and understand Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Work experience as a DevOps Engineer with both the implementation of DevOps-based working methods and tools for at least three years in Linux and Windows environments.
- Several years of work experience in installation, configuration, and administration of software in Linux or Windows environments.
- Work experience within infrastructure in secure IT environments (networks, firewalls, secure communication).
- Worked with development tools such as WSL2, Python, Docker, Visual Studio, Node.js.
