Medical Technology Engineer for Stockholm County Healthcare Area

We need you who want to take on an exciting job within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area (part of Region Stockholm), who is an educated engineering graduate with a focus on medical technology or has other education that, together with practical experience, we consider equivalent.

About the Role

As a medical technology engineer, you will be the technical support for all SLSO operations in medical technology issues regarding service and support, inventory systems, procurements, laws and regulations, and IT-related issues concerning medical technology products. The role involves a combination of technical expertise/support and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.

You will work closely with the SLSO medical technology strategist and other medical technology competencies within SLSO to ensure that our operations meet both legal requirements and quality standards.

The position is located at SLSO's headquarters at Torsplan in Vasastaden. There is an opportunity for part-time remote work if desired.

Qualifications

• Higher education in medical technology or equivalent
• At least 2 years of work experience in medical technology service and support within healthcare
• Good knowledge of MDR, IVDR, and other laws and regulatory requirements concerning medical technology products
• Experience with Medusa both as a user and customer
• Experience working with IT-connected medical technology products
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in English
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Good knowledge of using Office 365
• Experience working with suppliers
• Experience working with service agreements
• Experience in process work

It is meritorious if you have

• Experience working with quality management systems
• Experience in risk analysis
• Experience in project management
• Experience in contract management and LOU (the Public Procurement Act)

• register control is applied before the decision on employment according to applicable guidelines.
• employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment examination, according to applicable directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
• in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
