General Practitioner Wanted at Vårdcentralen Visby Norr
In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
Vårdcentralen Visby Norr
Do you want to participate in the transition towards Good and Close care built around fixed contacts? Come to us in Gotland! As a general practitioner in primary care, you and your general medicine team focus on knowing the people on your list and taking personal responsibility for the medical support they need in their pursuit of better health.
When you work as a general practitioner in primary care, you play a key role in the local community and contribute to making Gotland a better place for people at all stages of life. By striving for fixed contacts in care and facilitating collaboration for shared patients, Region Gotland is preparing its healthcare for future challenges. As a permanent physician contact in primary care, you are your patients' link to high-quality and modern integrated care, accessible to all. We aim to offer our patients high availability and continuity with high generalist competence. In Gotland, a political decision was made in the autumn of 2022 to follow the National Board of Health and Welfare's guideline of 1/1100. In May 2024, we followed up on the first year's work according to our action plan and found that we had taken the steps we intended and a bit more.
Vårdcentralen Visby Norr has about 13,000 registered patients and around 40 employees who work together to provide increasingly person-centered and accessible care. The health center is in a phase of change and development with a strong focus on meeting patients' needs and ensuring medical quality and patient safety. In a changing healthcare world, we adapt and prioritize our work methods based on our patients' needs. Right now, we are intensively working to shift from a focus on diagnosis to a focus on medical assessment, continuity, and coordination. With us, you will have the opportunity to help shape the work in our general medicine teams. We value professional personal interaction, continuity, accessibility, and long-term commitment.
Your Responsibilities
Your tasks will vary, including patient consultations, physician participation in special accommodations and home healthcare, as well as supervision of training physicians. On-call and standby duties are included. You will be responsible for a patient list based on the guideline of 1/1100. The health center has the advantage of having several training physicians and aims to be at the forefront of supervision. You will have the opportunity to develop the operations together with other employees and participate in improvement and quality work both at the health center and related to other care.
The physicians in the unit have daily joint meetings with our neighboring health center and forums with training once a month together with all permanently employed physicians in primary care.
We document in TakeCare.
