Our Offer

The Primary Care Center Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, Vårdcentrum Finspång, Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and emergency centers in the evening and on weekends, and the General Medicine Training Center. We conduct a broad primary care operation where we provide care to everyone throughout life; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and patients at the end of life.

The Vårdcentralen Mjölby is part of the Primary Care Center (PVC) in Region Östergötland and is centrally located, only a five-minute walk from the commuter station. Mjölby is a growing city, with good villa prices and a strong job market being some of the reasons. Mjölby municipality is focused on the future. Our operations include, among other things, medical consultations, child health care, elderly care, psychosocial teams, rehabilitation coordinators, district nurse, and other nurse-based clinics. Together with the municipality's home health care, we are responsible for medical access in special housing, group housing, and ordinary housing. We have about 50 employees and approximately 12,700 registered patients. Laboratory, maternity care, and public dental care are located in the same building.

Job Description

The position includes clinical work with consultations, emergency center/primary care backup, and other customary tasks for the position. We offer you a fun, challenging, and varied job at our medical clinic combined with teamwork at our day emergency clinic. Every day, we have a specialist doctor designated as the “question doctor” available to answer questions from nurses and training doctors. The position also includes supervision of medical students and training doctors. Together with other employees, you will participate in operational and quality work. There is an opportunity to participate in and lead various areas of responsibility. If you have a special area of expertise, that is welcome.

The doctors at the health center also participate in primary and backup duties for the western part of the county during on-call hours. We have a waiting list coordinator for our chronic patients.

We are a health center that tries to adapt to needs, and we are responsive to changes, and we dare to be pioneers and test new things in reasonable amounts. We prioritize our medical meetings for development, renewal, and medical issues. They are also important for dialogue and for the social aspect within the medical team.

We care about a good and reasonable working environment, clear distribution of responsibilities, and some flexibility regarding schedules.

About You

You are a specialist in general medicine or another specialist in a related field such as internal medicine, geriatrics, or orthopedics with an interest in general medicine that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have a Swedish medical license (attached to the application) and very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as you will be in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other organizations.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team with medical colleagues and other professions. You have a positive attitude towards work, are flexible, and take responsibility for contributing to a good atmosphere at the workplace. As a person, you are self-assured, structured, and can organize and prioritize your work. You take great responsibility for your tasks and care about ongoing development and quality work. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
