On behalf of our client, we are now looking for a Golang Software Developer to join their rapidly growing Body Worn Camera Solutions team. Here, you will help create the future solutions for body-worn cameras used by police, healthcare professionals, security guards, and many more – in situations where safety, security, and trust are crucial.

Your future team You will work in one of the client's seven software teams within Body Worn, which together are responsible for the entire system solution, from cameras and control units to mobile apps for iOS and Android, as well as cloud-based services.

Their development teams are small, dynamic, and take responsibility for their own areas of expertise. Your team focuses on developing software for the embedded devices that form the heart of the Body Worn system. The work is done closely with users, both through their own development pilots with customers and in close collaboration with their sales organization, allowing your solutions to be quickly tested and put to practical use.

They are driven by curiosity and delivering high quality to the market, and they succeed together. The team works agile with Linux-based software, where the majority of services are written in Go and integrated with DBus, REST, and GraphQL. You will be responsible for the backend part and collaborate closely with colleagues developing the frontend and camera software. All code is managed in Gerrit, and integration tests are continuously run in Jenkins.

About the role As a Golang Software Developer, you will be a central part of the team developing Linux-based software for our body-worn camera solutions. You will primarily work in Go but also contribute to the overall solution by developing services that integrate with DBus, REST, GraphQL, and gRPC. The work involves solving complex end-to-end use cases with high demands for quality, security, and stability – always in close collaboration with colleagues from firmware, frontend, and testing.

Examples of tasks may include:

• Developing new backend services to manage communication between the camera, control unit, and cloud services.
• Implementing and improving integrations with DBus, REST, and GraphQL.
• Working with Linux-based systems and tools like Yocto/OpenEmbedded to ensure stable deliveries.
• Participating in the entire development chain, from design and implementation to code review, testing, and deployment.

We believe you have

• Several years of experience with Go, or strong skills in another language such as Java, C, or Rust.
• Experience building services with REST, GraphQL, gRPC, or DBus.
• Familiarity with developing in a Linux environment.
• Experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded is highly desirable.
