You will be part of the Deep Learning platform team, responsible for developing software platforms that integrate AI technology into Axis Communications products. The team's mission is to create a link between hardware and software to enable advanced predictions and decision-making.

In this role, you will work on developing and optimizing software for advanced embedded systems and implementing solutions that combine machine learning with the latest hardware technology. This enables the products to perform complex analyses, such as identifying objects with high precision and efficiency. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be an important part of Axis Communications' technical journey. Your responsibilities may include everything from troubleshooting and optimizing the performance of existing systems to implementing new features and drivers to support AI models. Your main tasks will include:

• Strategic development of software platforms from initial chip startup to robust, production-ready software solutions.
• Technical problem-solving through advanced troubleshooting, performance optimization, and critical analysis of system challenges with high technical complexity.
• Cross-functional collaboration with internal development teams and external partners to ensure requirements.
• Writing efficient and scalable code in C and C++ on Linux-based systems.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has a master's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, or similar.
• Has work experience and feels comfortable programming in C and C++.
• Has knowledge of working in Linux.
• Has experience working in a hardware-near environment.
• Speaks and writes fluently in English.

It is a merit if you have:

• Basic Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Experience in low-level programming with a focus on AI and deep learning.
