OT Systems Engineer for Sustainable Energy Production

ABOUT THE POSITION

In this role, you will be part of a team of about 13 specialists in OT, technology, and digitalization who work together to create robust and future-proof solutions for energy production and heating in several Swedish cities. As an OT Systems Engineer, you will drive the development of our client's OT environments. You will build, manage, and support the operational infrastructure, including SCADA and industrial control systems, with a focus on availability, security, and efficiency. The role involves translating operational needs into technical solutions and strengthening cybersecurity in real-time critical systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

• Order, drive, and participate in projects within the OT environment.
• Contribute expertise/knowledge in cybersecurity to prevent disruptions.
• Translate local needs into technical solutions with internal and external parties.
• Set frameworks for and develop the common OT infrastructure.
• Collaborate with IT security to implement technical security solutions.
• Develop and maintain data collection as well as solutions for analysis, reporting, and optimization of operational data.
• Lead the implementation of new OT solutions and participate in pilot projects.
• Follow up and ensure operational operation and security.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has a post-secondary education in Computer Science, System Science, Automation, or similar.
• Has a strong interest in OT systems, industrial systems & cybersecurity – preferably with experience from internships, thesis work, or hobby projects.
• Is accustomed to using tools for reporting and operational optimization, e.g., Power BI, PI System, or similar.
• Can communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is a merit if you have

• Experience from OT systems, network technology, or cybersecurity.
• Experience working with security standards within OT, e.g., IEC 62443 or NIS2.
• Experience in PLC programming or working with HMI/SCADA systems.
• Experience leading smaller technical projects or being technically responsible in the implementation phase.
• Experience from the Energy sector.
