Your mission

As an analyst, you belong to the department for signal intelligence that conducts signal surveillance according to the law on signal surveillance in defense intelligence operations. FRA's signal surveillance aims to provide information and warning about conditions in the world. This may involve potential threats to Sweden, but also providing support to the government's foreign, security, and defense policy. The role involves gathering signals and data, which are then processed and analyzed to ultimately result in intelligence that is reported to the clients.

In the role of analyst, you are the link in an exciting production chain. Your main tasks will, after training and practice, be the collection and analysis of technical signals, primarily radar signals, with a focus on the analytical work. You will also produce outgoing reports. The work is carried out both independently and together with your colleagues, as well as in collaboration with our clients.

Normal working hours are during the day, but shift work may occur periodically. Business trips to other locations may occur.

You can

We are looking for someone who has:

  • High school education with a scientific or technical focus or equivalent knowledge obtained in another way
  • Work experience and/or internship from university/technical college/university
  • Good computer skills
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English with the ability to express yourself verbally and in writing
  • Driving license B

We consider it an advantage if you have:

  • Post-secondary education in technology or natural sciences
  • Knowledge of radar and digital signal processing
  • Experience in other technical work
  • Previously worked with technical analysis tools, programming skills, databases, and/or statistics

The workplace is located in Österlen in southeastern Skåne. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. A requirement for employment is a successful security clearance with a background check. The security clearance will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act.
