Do you want to work with IT and information security in some of Sweden's most complex and long-term technical projects? In this role, you will work with requirements, risks, and documentation to ensure that information systems on board submarines and ships meet high security requirements set by authorities and customers. The role is analytical, system-oriented, and closely linked to regulations and verification.

The client is a leading company in marine technology specializing in the development of surface vessels and submarines. Their operations span the globe, and you will find colleagues from the company on all continents. The client continuously develops, adapts, and improves new technology for a safer society, and we are currently looking for someone with an interest in information security and IT.

As an information security engineer, you will work on long-term and technically complex defense projects where information and systems security is a central part. You will be involved in the entire development chain – from interpreting and breaking down security requirements to verifying and documenting solutions before delivery and approval.

Ships and submarines consist of many different technical systems, such as IT and communication systems, control and monitoring systems, and other integrated subsystems. Some are developed internally, while others are procured from suppliers, but all are subject to extensive requirements related to information and IT security.

Your role is to ensure that these requirements are understood, applied, and can be proven to be met. The work is largely theoretical and documentation-driven, focusing on analysis, traceability, and formal approval.

In summary, you will work with:

• Interpreting and applying requirements related to information and IT security
• Ensuring that security requirements are correctly applied to different systems
• Documenting technical solutions and producing evidence that requirements are met
• Participating in and documenting risk and security analyses
• Collaborating with IT architects and system owners in the development work
• Following up on requirements through the project's various phases until verification and delivery

We are looking for someone at the beginning of their career, with a theoretical and analytical educational background in IT or engineering, who enjoys a role with a lot of analysis, reading, and documentation.

The role requires a clear drive and the ability to take initiative. The work is largely self-driven, with close collaboration across several functions, which means you need to be confident in your communication, comfortable in cross-functional contexts, and have a genuine technical interest to understand issues and drive the work forward.

We would like you to have:

• A Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in IT, computer engineering, systems science, technical physics, or equivalent
• Interest in information security, regulations, and requirements management
• Good ability to express yourself in writing in Swedish and English
• Experience of similar tasks
• The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the Security Protection Act, which requires Swedish citizenship and a clean criminal record

Meritorious:

• Experience in information security, IT security, or risk management
• Experience from thesis work, projects, or work in regulated environments
