About Your Role

As the Head of Customer Experience and Visual Merchandising at Åhléns, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing the customer experience and enhancing sales visually through strategies for our Åhléns department stores. The role involves identifying needs and opportunities for continuous development of Åhléns VM strategy and tactical execution based on our goals. Together with your team, you will create optimal and commercial conditions for the assortment in the stores and ensure that the overall visual experience in Åhléns stores aligns, is sales-driven, inspiring, and consistent with the company's overarching goals.

Examples of Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive the development work for Åhléns overall VM strategy
  • Improve and optimize the customer experience and customer journey in the stores
  • Ensure a seamless, clear, and sales-oriented customer experience where the customer recognizes themselves regardless of the channel
  • Lead the team in ensuring clear, consistent, and sales-driven campaign and pricing communication in our windows, on facades, and inside the store
  • Develop and ensure a simple customer journey with clear and inspiring guidance in the store
  • Concept development for Åhléns as a department store
  • Lead the development and creation of ongoing visual guidelines based on Åhléns campaign plan as well as current assortment and trends
  • Be responsible for ensuring attractiveness and commercial relevance in stores, with a particular focus on business-critical areas such as prime locations, activity areas, and checkout zones
  • Responsible for ensuring that the stores deliver a visually consistent, inspiring, and commercial expression

You will be part of the Customer & Marketing management team and have personnel responsibility for about 10 people in roles such as Regional VM, Concept Developer, VM Coordinator, and VM Developer. In this role, you will report to Åhléns Customer, Marketing, and Strategy Director.

You Bring:

  • Experience in a similar role within retail where you have been responsible for customer experience, customer and pricing communication, and VM
  • Experience in sales development from a customer experience and VM perspective
  • Experience working in an optimal environment
