Assistant Nurse at the Neuropsychiatric Reception in Östersund

Residents of Jämtland County in need of specialist psychiatry receive their treatment in outpatient or inpatient care within the psychiatric area at Östersund Hospital. The staff members of the units have a significant responsibility to develop and improve care in collaboration with the area's management. There are approximately 270 employees in the area.

The Neuropsychiatric Reception (NPM) is growing, and we are therefore looking for new assistant nurses. Would you like to be part of a fantastic team of assistant nurses? Of course, all other professions are represented, such as psychologists, social workers, and both physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Our target group is individuals aged 18 and older with diagnosed neuropsychiatric disabilities where psychiatric specialist competence is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At the Neuropsychiatric Reception, we assess and treat patients with certain neuropsychiatric disabilities, sometimes in combination with other mental health issues. As an assistant nurse, you will be involved in the care of patients. This includes standard tasks such as prescription management, sample collection, telephone counseling, monitoring waiting lists, participating in treatment conferences, some patient contact, and SIP meetings, etc. With us, you will belong to a team of experienced nurses and specialist doctors, and your skills will be tested daily. You will work both independently and in a team with your colleagues. In close contact with patients, colleagues, and care neighbors, you are the secure point that brings hope and makes a difference in people's lives. You will have close contact with many patients, which means you need to express yourself well in both speech and writing and be confident in yourself.

The work takes place during daytime hours on weekdays.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Assistant Nurse
• Experience in psychiatry and outpatient work is an advantage
• You are a regular computer user and have good communication skills in both speech and writing.
• We place great emphasis on personal suitability
