There is an opportunity to have VUB in medicine and oncology paid for, as well as to conduct your own development work within the framework of the position. Credit courses in gastrointestinal diseases, blood, and kidney medicine are offered when the opportunity arises.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Working as a nurse with management assignments on the ward means working during the day and close collaboration with the unit's managers. Your task includes providing support and clinical guidance primarily to new nurses and nursing assistants, as well as being a support to supervisors and students in the unit. You will operationally lead and coordinate the daily activities in the department and manage contact with the care placement coordinator regarding the unit's care places. The assignment also includes driving operational quality controls and quality development/improvement work.

In addition to the management assignment, you will work in the clinical operations together with your colleagues. The position involves rotation with the unit's other management nurse and work in the department during the day/evening, including weekend duty about one weekend a month.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained nurse, ambitious, and an engaged team player and leader. We prefer that you have at least three years of experience and are driven by working with guidance, education, and development work within a changing organization. You want to contribute to creating a good learning environment and a good working environment in the department. It is an advantage if you have experience in supervision and work in an acute care department.
