Primary care in Region Jämtland Härjedalen is organizationally part of the Division of Close Care together with Ambulance, Public Dental Care, Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Primary care is organized into 4 local care areas, and since January 2022, primary care and ambulance services have been integrated under good and close care. Each local care area is an economic unit led by a manager. Primary care is also responsible for the region's healthcare advice, youth reception, and the local care department Näva, all of which are grant-funded. The Primary Care area has the status of a university hospital unit, and thus teaching, supervision, and training of medical students at Umeå University are part of the job.

At our health center, we will work in teams and focus on person-centered care for our registered patients. The Torvalla Health Center is located in Torvalla Center and staffed with nursing assistants, district nurses, specialists in general medicine, social workers, psychologists, psychiatric nurses, and medical secretaries. We have a Family Center with BVC and MVC in the same building. Physiotherapists, rehab coordinators, dietitians, and occupational therapists will also work at the health center.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In a full-time position, you will have 1,000 registered patients in your area. We will be a smaller, family-oriented health center where Close Care will be the focus.

We are looking for you who would like to work with us at Torvalla Health Center. Perhaps you have a colleague who wants to join the startup? Each full-time position will have 1,000 registered patients in its area. You have great opportunities to gradually familiarize yourself with routines and working methods as we have 0 registered patients at the opening.

We will open the operation in the near future; the premises have been completely renovated with new furnishings. This means a fresh start, where you will have the opportunity for new thinking and to change working methods according to the needs of our citizens. We will do this together with the newly recruited staff of the health center, which currently consists of a wonderful team looking forward to starting the operation.

We will work with person-centered care and teamwork. The registration number of 1,000 patients is for the benefit of increased responsibility for our most vulnerable elderly and frequent visitors. The working method also means increased opportunities for home visits and thus being able to convey security to the patients who need it most. Daily work includes reception visits, home visits, medication reviews, infection reception, and qualified telephone and digital visits. Close collaboration with the municipality's home healthcare and special accommodations is included, and communication occurs electronically via LINK. Maternal and child health care, supervision, and MLU assignments may occur. Occasional on-call duties are included in the work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you with specialist competence in general medicine, have Swedish authorization, and experience from primary care is required. Own research and research supervision are meritorious but not a formal requirement for the position.

You enjoy working in a team with other professions, close to the patient, and want to contribute to the development of the operation.

As a person, we see that you are positive, humble, and prefer to work solution-oriented. Furthermore, we would like you to have a structured and flexible working method. You should have good initiative, an open mind, and be open to changes within the area of operation. There are requirements for independent work, a good attitude, good collaboration skills, and professional responsibility.

Primary care is a healthcare unit within the region's health and medical care administration, where higher education for medical degrees and research is conducted. This means that all applicants must be assessed by the FoU responsible before any employment. As a result, the application must include the following accompanying documents:

• Certificate of medical degree from the institution(s) where the physician completed their basic education. This applies to physicians educated in another EU country and in countries outside the EU.

• Certificate/documentation of teaching experience and possibly other pedagogical merits.
• If applicable, a certificate of academic degree, such as Doctor of Medicine or Docent, as well as the date of disputation and title of the dissertation.
• Documented supervisor training
• If applicable, a complete updated publication list.
• Possibly additional documented merits regarding clinical knowledge/experience, clinical development work, leadership experience, and anything else the applicant wishes to highlight as meritorious for the applied position.
