Summer Substitute Positions in Specialist Psychiatry

The facility provides both outpatient and inpatient care, divided into subspecialized assessment and treatment units that assist patients in Jämtland County in need of specialist psychiatry.

Our psychiatric care departments are divided as follows:

• Psychiatric acute ward 1b focusing on acute psychiatry and two beds for child & youth psychiatry
• Psychiatric care ward 4a primarily focusing on psychoses and eating disorder care
• Psychiatric care ward 4b primarily focusing on affective and geriatric conditions

The area has approximately 270 employees who help our patients with mental health issues.

We are looking for individuals who are qualified nurses or nursing assistants, or are students in the following fields:

• Nursing student
• Medical student
• Psychology student
• Social work student

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant in inpatient care, you work closest to the patient and provide the support the patient needs in their daily life, personal care, and social interactions.

As a nurse in inpatient care, you lead and allocate nursing work, as well as coordinate and prioritize interventions for the patient in their care situation.

We work to build good relationships with each other, patients, relatives, and healthcare colleagues. You will work alongside other professional categories such as doctors, counselors, and psychologists.

Qualifications

Registered nurse

Trained nursing assistant

Experience in psychiatric work is advantageous.

Great consideration is given to personal suitability.

We prefer if you are accustomed to working both independently and in a team, and have good collaboration skills.

It is also advantageous if you can work for at least eight consecutive weeks during our summer period, which extends between weeks 23-35.
