At Östersund Rehabilitation Center, multidisciplinary teams work with rehabilitation for individuals affected by stroke, traumatic brain injuries, and neurological diseases. The operation consists of outpatient clinics and an inpatient ward. Team members collaborate with patients and their relatives to create individualized rehabilitation with clear goals from a holistic perspective.

Östersund Rehabilitation Center is part of the heart and vascular diseases, neurology, rehabilitation, and rheumatology area (HNR), which includes both acute and planned activities. The unit comprises four wards and six clinics. The area has 5 speech therapists distributed across different teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work with the assessment and treatment of adult patients with swallowing, speech, and language difficulties. The speech therapists perform FUS and can offer intensive treatment according to guidelines. You will work alongside other team members and participate in team rounds every week. Advising relatives, testing assistive devices, and supervising staff are also important parts of the job responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed speech therapist with interest and preferably experience working in teams with neurological rehabilitation. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. We seek someone with good collaboration skills, the ability to plan and structure their work, as well as engagement in patient work and the development of the operation. A B driver's license is required.

OTHER

Start date 2025-03-01 or by agreement. The employment is a fixed-term position lasting 6 months with the possibility of extension.
