Operating Room Nurse Trainee

At Central Surgery in Östersund, we perform various specialties, including orthopedics, surgery, urology, and gynecology. We are also part of trauma management at the emergency department.

We offer you the opportunity to gain insight into the responsibilities and tasks of an operating room nurse under supervision for three to four months.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

During the trainee period, you will be assigned a mentor who will introduce you to the daily work in an operating room. Together with your mentor, you will prepare and set up the operating room, handle medical technical equipment, and prepare instruments and materials for surgeries. You will assist with skin disinfection, sterile draping, and be present during surgeries.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team where good collaboration is essential for surgical outcomes.

The work as an operating room nurse is varied and requires high flexibility and responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the ambition and eligibility to further your education as an operating room nurse. We prefer candidates with some years of professional experience, but newly graduated nurses are also welcome to apply. We are primarily looking for candidates without prior specialist training.
