Operations Coordinator at Specialist Care Campus

Specialist Care Campus is a day surgery department with two operating rooms that is organizationally part of the orthopedic area. Here we perform surgeries in surgery, orthopedics, and gynecology. Specialist Care Campus is located on the Mid Sweden University campus, a bit away from the hospital.

The orthopedic area also includes the Orthopedic Department, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Unit, Orthopedic and Spine Surgery Clinic, and Orthopedic Medical Department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Working as an operations coordinator is a highly varied job with responsibility for planning our patients' surgeries based on our waiting lists. You will be the cohesive link, which involves administrative work to call and prepare patients for surgery, monitoring the waiting list for surgery, and being the contact person for patients who are to be operated on. Your tasks include ensuring that all preparations are made before surgery so that patients are operated on within the correct timeframe based on medical prioritization. You will collaborate closely with surgeons and other operations coordinators within the surgical division. You will also be involved in the area's production and capacity planning.

Working hours are daytime Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed nurse. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability with qualities such as good planning and administrative skills, structured work approach, independence, flexibility, and professional demeanor. Previous experience in surgical planning and/or work in surgery is strongly meritorious for the position. It is also an advantage if you have good knowledge of Cosmic TM, which is our surgical planning system.
