Blå Assistans is a nationwide non-profit organization that has been operating in a cooperative form since 1994.

The cooperative organizes personal assistance in accordance with the intentions of the LSS law, which gives people with disabilities the "right to live like others." A personal assistant is a service profession that supports a person in living the life they wish.

Blå Assistans is the cooperative that is characterized by good service. Accessibility and quality service are our focus, ensuring a secure everyday life for our assistance users and employees. To ensure good competence among our staff, we offer continuous training in the field of personal assistance. We also actively work on workplace safety. As an employer, we see it as a given that our employees are offered subsidized wellness programs.

I am a woman living in Uppsala. Since I want self-chosen and self-directed assistance, I have chosen Blå Assistans as my provider. Blå Assistans is the employer for my assistants, while I choose whom to employ as my personal assistants. I schedule my assistance and determine the content of the assistants' work. My provider strives to ensure that both members, assistants, and administrative staff have the competence required for their tasks.

Your employment includes participating in training as requested by the employer.

I am looking for you, preferably a woman, who has some life experience and you may have passed 50 a few years ago, but above all, I want you to have a positive attitude, be solution-focused, and attentive to my needs. It is important that you are meticulous and calm in what you do and have the ability to take instructions when needed. You should understand your role as a personal assistant and not take over in situations where I am the one who should be active. I prefer that you do not smoke.

Your tasks consist of common household duties that I want you to perform carefully. I am out running errands, which requires you to have a driver's license and good driving skills. You should be able to sew, both with a machine and by hand. You also need to enjoy taking long walks to be comfortable in this role. I need assistance with my mobility; it is not heavy work, but you should be in good physical condition to perform the job. It is a plus if you have worked with stoma care before.

Working hours are mainly between 7 AM and 3 PM on weekdays. The need is urgent, so interviews and hiring may occur before the application deadline has passed. We intend to recruit quickly. The position will be filled as soon as we find a suitable person for the assignment.

Employment type: hourly employment, i.e., during the absence of the regular assistant due to temporary leave, sick leave, and vacation. Start date for introductory shifts to be agreed upon.
