About the assignment and the person we are looking for
Are you detail-oriented, solution-focused, and enjoy a role where you work with both numbers and people? We are now looking for a Junior Finance Assistant for an international company in the retail/energy sector. The role is broad and varied, focusing on inventory reconciliations, supplier issues, and close collaboration with both Swedish and international teams. This is a consulting assignment for 6-12 months with a chance of extension, starting immediately. Our client has an office in central Stockholm and applies a hybrid working model In this role, you will have a varied everyday life where you work with:
- Handling and control of supplier invoices.
- Creation of purchase orders.
- Ensuring that costs and invoices are recorded in the correct period during month-end reconciliations.
- Managing inventory reconciliations and investigations together with internal accounting teams and providing direct support to the business units.
- Participating in support work related to cash follow-up and discrepancies.
- Assisting with supplier issues, for example, when suppliers do not respond to inquiries about monthly statements or missing invoices.
- In case of missing electronic delivery note files – act as a contact point with IT internally and with the supplier.
- Collaborating with a colleague to create clear and useful training materials for the business units.
- Actively collaborating on master data setups and settings.
- Cooperating with other departments to streamline processes and reduce the number of invoices.
- Following up on reminders and collection cases as needed.
- Being involved in developing and improving work methods together with the team.
We are looking for someone who
- Has an eye for detail and is meticulous in their work.
- Is solution-oriented and enjoys improving routines.
- Has good teamwork skills and thrives in a team environment.
- Is fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Has at least a high school diploma in finance or administration.
- Has 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Has good knowledge of Excel and preferably experience with accounting software.
