Unit for Circular Economy, Chemicals and Radiation, Ministry of Climate and Enterprise
The Unit for Circular Economy, Chemicals and Radiation is responsible for issues related to circular economy, chemicals and waste, environmental research, and radiation safety. This includes work at the national, EU, and international levels to implement government policy, develop regulatory instruments and frameworks, and oversee the authorities for which the unit is responsible. The unit is currently in an intensive work phase to contribute to creating conditions for a rapid and safe expansion of nuclear power. We are now looking for one to two case officers for the group within the unit that handles nuclear safety and radiation protection issues.

As a case officer in the Unit for Circular Economy, Chemicals and Radiation, you will primarily work to support and assist the unit's case officers in their work. Your tasks will include handling various types of administrative matters and compiling consultation responses. You will also have certain areas of responsibility and there will be opportunities for development in the role. We believe this position is suitable for you who are at the beginning of your career in this field. Depending on previous experience and interest, other tasks within the unit's area of responsibility may also become relevant.
The work is characterized by a sometimes high pace and the role involves many contacts, for example with other units in the ministry, other ministries, authorities, and relevant external actors.

Your background
We are looking for someone with an academic education that the employer deems relevant to the tasks, such as natural sciences, engineering, law, or political science. It is an advantage if you also have a completed degree. Furthermore, you have relevant experience for the position from work or internships within an authority or another politically governed organization and knowledge of climate, environmental, radiation safety, or energy areas.
It is an advantage if you have experience from work or internships in the Government Offices, experience in the field of radiation safety, or have worked in a government authority. If you have knowledge of the processes and working methods of the Government Offices, this is also an advantage.
