Personal Assistant - paid introduction, training & continuing education.

We have already recruited two... but we also need someone who can work about 4 hours a couple/three afternoons a week. Additionally, we need a substitute for shorter - longer periods in the summer. It may become a longer-term position later from about 8 hours/week up to 50-75%. Apply and make it possible for me to live meaningfully. Job Tasks - be my hands, legs, and support.

You will help me in my pedagogical job at 50% in the Church of Sweden/Skellefteå parish/Primarily in the Landsförsamlingen. I am also active in culture and other areas of civil society. I am good at communicating! I usually have my head with me ;) people often say. I need help with a wheelchair and other aids as well as training/rehabilitation. As you can see, I need assistance in a variety of areas to be able to work, live, and do the things that my family and I enjoy. You will become a kind of "help friend"/"companion" as one of our grandchildren called my personal assistant.

Since there are physical elements involved such as transfers, lifting, and training moments, you will have good opportunities to take care of your own physical health. The most important thing is that we enjoy being together.

You will receive some training, introduction, professional development, and good support. We regularly participate in courses that STIL offers or organize our own courses and events. My work also includes participating or contributing to certain courses and conferences, often under the auspices of the Church of Sweden, in the municipality, or within association and folk education contexts.

Qualifications

Due to the nature of the work and my needs, you must be a woman!

You must be able to handle the Swedish language well. If you are also good at English, you may still be considered for an interview and possibly a probationary employment.

We hope that you have a post-secondary education at e.g., folk high school, university, or are studying in a similar field. Preferably with a profile in culture, health, wellness, pedagogy, communication, care, or social services. You should be calm, honest, orderly, meticulous, and reliable. You should be curious, interested in people, communication, and culture in various forms.

You should be good at writing and able to use computers, IT, and other technical aids.

You should be punctual and enjoy being outdoors in various weather conditions. If you have good self-awareness and openness, we will be able to hire you in this quite difficult and unfortunately underrated profession as a personal assistant.

You must not be allergic to horses, cats, or dogs. You should also not have problems with your neck, shoulders, or back. I cannot tolerate smoke and strong perfumes either.

If you have a driver's license, it is an advantage... but not an absolute requirement.

If YOU have worked as a personal assistant or similar, it can be an advantage. NOTE! This is not a healthcare profession!!!

NOTE! If you are studying, already have a part-time job, or run a business and have time for extra work, there are opportunities to discuss/adjust schedules and working hours to fit your other commitments.

Employment Conditions

Contractual hourly employment on a trial basis/possible temporary employment for a period of 2-4 months.

If you want to work more than substitute hours per week, there may be continued work of up to about 50-75% in the future. In a part-time position, you normally work daytime about 2-4 days/week for about 5-10 hours/day. Usually between 07:30 and about 17:30, as well as some "evening"/week and some Saturday/daytime per month, usually around 09:30-17:00). Reasonable hours - right?

If you have the opportunity to work nights occasionally, per year, it is an advantage. Not a must!

The employment conditions are regulated according to the collective agreement between FREMIA (formerly KFO) and Kommunal. The position starts as a hourly employment which, after a probation period, can transition to a "permanent position" for the right person.

STIL will be your employer, and I will be your supervisor together with the co-worker leader and STIL's support structure.
