Stöcksjö Preschool is Hiring a Preschool Teacher

Stöcksjö Preschool has four departments for children aged 1-5 years and is located about 8 km outside Umeå, with a total of approximately 70 children.

The preschool is adjacent to the school, and everyone knows each other here. We place great value on equal treatment, digital tools, and sustainable development. Nature is right outside our door.

Your Responsibilities

Your work at the preschool involves leading and challenging children aged 1-5 years. In collaboration with your team and colleagues, you will be responsible for building, driving, and developing the educational work within the children's group and at the preschool, using the curriculum and municipal goals as guidelines. Contact and collaboration with parents is an important part of the job. You will lead/participate in parent meetings. You will continuously plan, document, evaluate, and ensure the quality of the operations.

About You

We are looking for someone with a preschool teacher education and previous experience working in a preschool. If you have training in TAKK, it is a merit.

You recognize the importance of collegial learning and the value of family involvement, and you have a good ability to interact and collaborate with children and adults. You are a curious and dedicated team player who brings joy to the work. You have the ability to see the advantages of differences among children and adults, different ways of thinking and doing. An exploratory approach is important, as it allows children to participate in exploration with their own suggestions, theories, and expressions.

To help develop the children's language skills and communicate with children, guardians, and colleagues, as well as document and engage with the preschool's governing documents, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

Additional Information

Temporary position, full-time. From 2025-02-01 to 2026-05-31.
