Do you have extensive experience in Android development and have worked in Kotlin and/or Java? At SJ, you will build applications that are truly important and must function 24/7. Your upcoming role You will be part of one of our teams for digital work tools and belong to a social and DevOps-oriented team that works together on a challenging and exciting product. In your role, you will drive our development work within Android native applications for internal applications while coaching our junior developers to improve their Android development skills. You will be involved in areas such as planning, prioritization, further development, and management, where further development will take up most of your time.

The role involves:

• Participating in the team's development and management work and leading and coaching the team to good and sustainable choices.
• Further developing our applications with a focus on usability, functionality, and security.
• We work according to DevOps principles, which makes it important to develop maintainable solutions as our teams are responsible for operation and monitoring.
• Building domain knowledge and understanding of SJ's internal digital onboard tools.
• Keeping yourself updated with the latest Android technologies, tools, and trends that keep SJ at the forefront.

Expectations for the candidate we seek We are looking for someone who enjoys writing code and solving real problems, but who also wants to contribute to building our expertise in native Android. You thrive in working according to agile principles and are a humble team player. With us, you will work in a DevOps team that operates under the motto "You build it, you run it." You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written. We would like you to have experience in:

• Several years of experience as a software engineer in Android.
• Several years of experience in Kotlin and/or Java and related frameworks for native Android development.
• Interest in working with Android and expertise in app development, as well as a good understanding of API development.
• We consider it an advantage if you have a university degree in computer science, programming, or equivalent.
