Do you want a meaningful job where you can make a difference in every call? As an SOS operator at SOS Alarm, you will be an important link in helping people in emergency situations. If you thrive in a fast-paced work environment, can handle stress, and have a strong sense of structure and responsibility, you may be the one we are looking for!
At SOS Alarm, we work for a safer Sweden for everyone. We do this by helping people in emergencies, managing alarms, coordinating efforts during accidents and crises, and actively monitoring events and trends at both national and global levels. We do all this in collaboration with our customers and partners - 24/7, every day of the year. Many are primarily familiar with our delivery of the national emergency number 112, but we also offer a growing number of innovative services for both the private and public markets. With us, you will have the opportunity to grow, both professionally and personally, while contributing to something big and important alongside fantastic colleagues.
Your everyday life as SOS Operator
"One of the most fun things about this job is that no day is the same". You will encounter all kinds of people, questions, and problems. Your main task is to answer incoming calls from people in need. As an SOS operator, your primary mission is to respond to the emergency number 112, and you are the first contact for those seeking help before other resources arrive. If you are a nursing assistant, your skills may also be utilized in another function at the SOS center combined with the primary mission at the emergency number 112.
The 112 calls cover everything from acute medical cases, traffic accidents, fires to calls where someone needs a reassuring voice. With interview support and adapted technology, you ensure that the right resources are sent to the right place at the right time. In ongoing calls, you collaborate with colleagues and external resources such as police, rescue services, and ambulances. The work is often conducted at a high pace, and those seeking help are always the focus. The work takes place at the SOS center where you sit in an open environment with your colleagues.
Training To ensure the right conditions for success as an SOS operator 112, the employment begins with thorough training at our training unit in Kista, combined with practical training at the center where you have a mentor.
We offer you
- Invaluable lessons in communicating with different types of people
- Engaged and supportive leaders and colleagues
- The chance to work in a socially important company where people are always at the center
- Great development opportunities within the company
- You will collaborate with, among others, the Police, Rescue Services, ambulances, and other actors that are important for society
We are looking for you We assume that you always want to help the caller and manage the conversation from start to finish. You appreciate clear guidelines, are self-assured, and decisive - regardless of which call you are handling. The role involves collaboration with colleagues and external actors, which requires good teamwork skills. You are a friendly and attentive person who finds it easy to talk to people. Furthermore, you are empathetic and professional, which means you collaborate and take responsibility in your professional role.
Since SOS Alarm's operations are conducted 24/7, as an SOS operator, you will have a round-the-clock position, which means you work days/evenings/nights and weekends. Therefore, you cannot choose to work only days, evenings, or nights.
We wish that you
