Do you have a genuine interest in numbers, business analysis, and investments? Do you have several years of experience in the finance industry and are ready for the next step in your career? This could be the role for you! We are looking for two new colleagues who want to be part of our Portfolio Investment team.
THE POSITION
As a Portfolio Analyst with us, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you become a key player in an international organization building a leading pan-European investment platform within the Non-Performing Loans (NPL) segment. You will play an important role in the development of Alektum Group's business, and your analyses will form the basis for investment decisions at the management level. You will work closely with colleagues in Gothenburg, Stockholm, and Zug, as well as collaborate with external advisors, servicers, and internal decision-making functions in accordance with our investment process.
The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our ongoing transformation journey following the acquisition of Rediem Capital, with a focus on integration, scalability, and growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting detailed analysis and modeling of investment opportunities within NPL
- Creating cash flow forecasts, scenario analyses, and profitability assessments for both acquisitions and monitoring of existing portfolios
- Presenting analyses and recommendations to the local investment committee and other internal decision forums
- Creating and ensuring the quality of investment memoranda and other decision-making materials
- Developing and maintaining financial models and tools for portfolio monitoring and performance tracking
- Acting as a link between investment analysis and other functions such as risk, legal, finance, sales, and servicing
- Driving coordination and information exchange with external and internal parties, including collection agencies and advisors
- Participating in improvement initiatives related to processes, data flow, and analytical methodologies within the business area
To thrive and succeed in the role of Portfolio Analyst, we believe you have a genuine interest in numbers, business analysis, and investments. We are looking for someone who combines sharp analytical skills with good collaboration abilities, who thrives in an environment where investment decisions are based on both quantitative analyses and close dialogue with colleagues and stakeholders. You have likely worked for a few years in the finance industry and have solid knowledge of performing and interpreting extensive data analyses and valuing financial products. Experience in project management and working with the purchase of written-off debt portfolios is considered a plus.
We believe you have:
- An academic degree in economics, finance, mathematics, or equivalent.
- Experience in financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and profitability calculations - primarily in Excel, preferably with elements of Power BI, SQL, or Python.
- The ability to explain and present complex analytical results in a clear and decision-oriented manner, especially to the local investment committee.
- Previous experience in investments, valuation, portfolio management, or credit risk.
- Very good language skills in English and Swedish.
Personal qualities we value:
- Unpretentious and self-driven, with the ability to switch between deep analysis and quick deliveries.
- Strong collaboration skills – you appreciate being part of an engaged team and contribute to a solution-oriented team climate even when the pace varies.
- Thrive in an environment where new things are built, change is driven, and sleeves are rolled up.
- Structured, analytical, and curious.
We are in an exciting phase of growth and transformation. Through our acquisition of Rediem Capital, we are laying the foundation to become one of Europe's most dynamic players in NPL investments. As a Portfolio Analyst, you will help build this platform – with the opportunity to influence, develop, and grow together with an experienced, international team.
We operate according to our key behaviors where collaboration, customer focus, personal accountability, and simplicity are central values. Our culture is characterized by community, innovation, and drive, but above all joy and the desire to positively impact society together. At our headquarters in Gothenburg, we work in bright, modern offices with good commuting options – close to both colleagues and the city center.
