Our main task is to support the group’s subsidiaries by ensuring that their financial processes not only work – but work optimally. This means that we actively participate in everything from monthly and annual closings to calculations, analysis work, budgeting, and decision support for investments, for example. We also act as advisory partners – a sounding board for the companies' decision-makers where we monthly provide data to ensure that the subsidiaries develop in the right direction. By combining expertise in accounting, controlling, and business management, we help our companies and the group make better decisions, faster. AGES Finance Center's offices are located in AGES Hörle, one of the group's subsidiaries, just 6 kilometers from Värnamo.

THIS IS THE ASSIGNMENT

• A role where companies meet the group As a Group Economist, you are part of our group-wide Finance Center and work closely with both the CFO and the economists of the subsidiaries. Here, business presence is combined with process focus – and you ensure that numbers, financial flows, and reports connect all the way from the subsidiary to the group level.
• Group reporting and consolidation You are responsible for the group’s monthly consolidation and ensure that quarterly reports, annual reports, and press releases meet the requirements for both listed companies and the Companies Act. You coordinate reporting from all of the group’s subsidiaries and ensure common principles for structure, content, and technical delivery. In acquisitions, you play an important role in integrating new companies into the reporting structure and providing them with the right conditions and tools to report according to both external and internal requirements – while building a long-term sustainable reporting environment.
• Structure and improvement As part of our group economic structure, you keep track of the building blocks – from the finance handbook to accounting principles and reporting routines. Together with the CFO and the economists of the subsidiaries, you create clarity, uniformity, and efficiency in the financial processes and ensure that the work flows smoothly. The tasks include analyzing and improving consolidation, reporting, and internal control, quality-assuring data flows, and harmonizing principles between units. You also ensure that new requirements and regulations are integrated in a way that strengthens both quality and governance.
• Support for subsidiaries In addition to the group focus, you also work with monthly and annual closings for one of our subsidiaries where you handle parts of the closing process. Here, you collaborate closely with colleagues in the Finance Center.

THIS IS YOU

• Confident in the closing process – curious about the next step You have a university degree in finance and at least five years of experience in qualified accounting work. The experience may come from a group environment where you have worked closely with reporting and closing – or from an auditing firm where you have gained a broad and solid foundation in accounting and reporting. Account reconciliations, accruals, reports, and declarations are familiar parts of your work, and you are used to delivering high-quality closings. At the same time, you want to take the next step and broaden your focus towards group reporting issues and a role with a more holistic perspective.

• Detail-oriented with a sense of the whole You are meticulous and methodical, but do not get stuck in details to the point of losing the big picture. You enjoy seeing how routines and working methods can be sharpened and contribute improvements that make a difference in everyday life. Regulations and deadlines are seen more as support than obstacles – and you would rather double-check once too often than let something slip through.
• Speak finance without complicating it Finance is your language, but you explain it in a way that others understand. You are humble enough to ask when something is new and receptive to others' perspectives – while having the courage to stand firm when something needs to be done right. With a combination of clarity and intuition, you build trust, set requirements where needed, and collaborate smoothly with different functions to make things fit together.
