A large part of Ottobock's IT support and IT operations is outsourced to external providers. As an IT Systems Technician at Ottobock, you will play an important role in collaborating with our external partners to ensure they have the right resources for their work, as well as serving as 2nd-3rd line support when needed. You will also independently work on planning, purchasing, and installing equipment and systems for the parts of the business that are not outsourced.

Our IT environment is primarily built on Microsoft products and operating systems. You will work broadly with IT across our entire Swedish operations, but your main focus will be in areas such as servers, networks, IT security, Citrix, systems/applications, IT architecture, etc. You will also assist with user support and actively participate in implementation projects within the IT unit. Your tasks will be adapted based on your skills and experiences.

The role also includes close collaboration with our global IT operations and participating as a project member in global IT projects. You will also work on project management of smaller and medium-sized projects within the region.

To fit and thrive in the role of IT Systems Technician, you have a relevant IT education, preferably with additional training in one or more areas such as server technology, IT security, Windows server OS, basic networking technology, project management, or similar. You should also have experience in similar roles previously. You speak and write English fluently as a large part of the daily communication is conducted in English, and it is advantageous if you have experience working in an international environment.

As a person, you are independent and responsible, with a strong drive to get things done. You are structured in your way of working, while also being able to see the bigger picture. You are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You can communicate and act in a trustworthy manner in a pedagogical way, but you also have the strength to speak up when necessary. You have high integrity and can handle confidential information.

You will report to the IT Manager.

Location: You will usually work from our office located in central Norrköping. There is also the possibility to work part of the time from home. Travel in the job may occur.
