We are looking for someone to guide Italian-speaking visitors through the winding alleys, squares, and stories of Gamla Stan. You do not need to be a trained guide – what matters is that you have the right language skills, energy, and are comfortable speaking in front of a group.

We provide a ready-made tour (script, route, stories), but you are responsible for language, presence, engagement, and personality.

This is a role for those who want to work with people, culture, and communication in a meaningful way.

About the role

You will lead guided tours in Italian through Gamla Stan for both small and large groups. Each tour lasts about 1.5 hours, and we try to schedule several back-to-back. You will receive a script, support, and training – but are expected to study and deliver the material yourself. You will work on a freelance basis, mainly during the summer and weekends, starting immediately. Payment is per tour or via invoice.

We are looking for someone who

• Speaks fluent Italian and good Swedish
• Has an interest in history, culture, and people
• Is confident, responsible, and reliable – you will be the sole language representative in the team
• Is good at absorbing information and delivering it in an engaging manner
• Has a strong work ethic – we are looking for someone who can be trusted in all circumstances

You do not need prior guiding experience – but you should be comfortable taking the stage, speaking in front of people, and keeping a group together.
