Do you want to help build a new monitoring function in Borås – at the heart of IT operations for one of Sweden's largest players in the grocery retail industry? We are looking for driven and meticulous Monitoring Engineers who want to take a key role in ensuring availability, stability, and quick recovery of technical services in a complex infrastructure environment. You will learn more about the company during the first contact!

As a Monitoring Engineer, you will work shifts to ensure monitoring around the clock, year-round. You will be part of an Operations Center that manages technical alarms, coordinates actions during incidents, and works for continuous improvement of IT operations – both internally and together with external suppliers. The position is based at the office in Borås and requires 100% physical presence. You will work in shifts (24/7), providing a varied and dynamic work environment. The function is newly established, and you will play an important role in shaping both work methods and culture moving forward.

Your responsibilities include:

• Monitoring & Alarm Management: Analyze and respond to technical alarms from servers, networks, databases, and communication. Ensure that incidents are handled according to process.
• Troubleshooting & Recovery: Perform technical troubleshooting, resolve incidents, and contribute to root cause analyses.
• Daily IT Checks: Conduct routine checks according to SOP and document in the incident management system.
• Coordination & Communication: Act as Incident Manager during major disruptions and collaborate with internal and external teams.
• Improvement Work: Identify improvement opportunities within monitoring, recovery procedures, and tool usage.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in operational monitoring in a complex IT environment
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, SCOM, Grafana, SolarWinds)
• Understanding of networks, databases, and backup solutions
• Knowledge of automation related to monitoring
• Experience with incident management systems – preferably ServiceNow
• Experience working according to ITIL (certification is a plus)
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent work experience

This is a consulting assignment where you will be employed by Talents By Inhouse and work at our client's site. The assignment is expected to start as soon as possible and is initially full-time for 6 months with good opportunities for extension and/or permanent recruitment. You will be based at the company's office in Borås.
