Information about the position

Professionals Nord is seeking, in collaboration with ZeeU, a Database/SQL technician. The position is a permanent employment with competitive terms. You will be part of an engaged team where you work closely with both IT operations, developers, and the business.

In this role, you will work as a consultant for clients, which means variation in your daily routine – some days you will be at the client’s site, other days at the office, and sometimes there is an opportunity to work from home. You will work with modern databases and servers, primarily in cloud environments, focusing on SQL Server, with a great opportunity to influence architecture and solutions.

In this role, you will work with:

• Operation, monitoring, and optimization of databases (primarily SQL Server)
• Performance optimization, troubleshooting, and capacity planning
• Integrations between ERP systems and other applications
• Database migrations and upgrades, both on-prem and in the cloud
• Security, backup/restore, and high availability
• Collaboration with developers, IT operations, and the business

We are looking for someone who

• Has several years of experience in SQL/database management, primarily MS SQL Server
• Has experience with ERP systems (preferably Jeeves)
• Has knowledge of cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Understands performance optimization and indexing
• Has experience with backup, recovery, and security solutions

Meritorious

• Experience with Jeeves ERP
• Scripting (PowerShell, T-SQL)
• CI/CD or automation of database deployment

• Monitoring tools and hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)

  To thrive in this role, you are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented. You work independently but enjoy collaboration, and can explain technology clearly to non-technical people.
