Software Developer at Metrum

Do you want to work with software development that is actually used in critical societal systems? Metrum develops solutions for measurement and analysis of electrical grids, where software, data, and technology meet in practice. They are now looking for an experienced software developer who wants to help further develop their backend and cloud-based services.

About the Role

As a software developer at Metrum, you will be part of their development team and work closely with both product and technology. The role focuses on backend development and cloud-based solutions, with an emphasis on building stable and long-term systems for collecting, managing, and analyzing large amounts of data from measuring instruments.

You will work on further development of existing systems as well as new development, often in the intersection of backend logic, cloud infrastructure, and system integrations. The work is done in close collaboration with other developers as well as hardware and application teams, providing a good overall understanding of how the software is used in practice.

About You

They are looking for someone with several years of experience in system or backend development who enjoys taking responsibility for technical solutions over time. You are analytical and solution-oriented, and like to understand the context behind the code. Collaboration comes naturally to you, while you are also comfortable driving your work independently. You appreciate an environment with freedom under responsibility, where there is room to discuss technical choices and where your experience is valued.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in IT or software development
• At least 3 years of work experience in backend development
• Good knowledge of C# / .NET
• Documented experience with cloud-based solutions, preferably AWS
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious

Interest in data flows, analysis, or systems with high reliability requirements
